Welcome to the Year 5 page
Year 5 marks the beginning of UKS2, which means our children are nearing the end of their primary school journey! There is so much to look forward to this year: an exciting curriculum, opportunities to explore our local community and lots of practical learning opportunities. We will also aim to develop the children's independence and accountability with their own learning. Year 5 is such a fantastic year and we look forward to supporting your children on this next step!
About the team!
The class teachers in Year 5 are Miss Eastgate (Sharks) and Miss Harris (Stingrays). Miss Hamer is our fabulous teaching assistant who supports children with their learning across both classes; we are also very lucky to have Mrs Greenhouse and Ms O'Neill supporting within the year group. Mrs Hooper is the UPKS2 HLTLA (Higher Level Teaching and Learning Assistant) and supports across Y5/6.
PPA Cover (Planning, Preparation and Assessment)
Once a fortnight on a Tuesday, Mrs Mitchell will cover the Shark's class for the day and Mrs Hooper will cover the Stingrays.
